Personal Impact
We live with our windows open, regardless of weather.
Here are our video diaries of what this looks like.
In the winter, Alexandrea layers extra blankets on the kids and we've slept with space heaters on. The adults wear hats and sweaters to bed.
In the summer, we direct multiple fans on us and try to stay with family and friends when there's a heatwave. We point fans in the kids' beds and remove almost all of their bedding.
We run 3 to 4 HEPA air purifers on high all the time. We get angry with each other -- it's like living in a wind tunnel. We can't hear each other sometimes.
We get all of the noise from 14th St too. It feels like we can't win.
